Knowledge is Power.... Get Informed

Read All The Books

ALL of the books that we will ever need to make us as rich, as healthy, as happy, as powerful, as sophisticated and as successful as we want to be have already been written.

People from all walks of life, people with some of the most incredible life experiences, people that have gone from pennies to fortune and from failure to success have taken the time to write down their experiences so that we might share in their wealth of knowledge.

They have offered their wisdom and experience so that we can be inspired by it and instructed by it, and so that we can amend our philosophy by it. Their contributions enable us to reset our sail based upon their experiences. They have handed us the gift of their insights so that we can change our plans, if need be, in order to avoid their errors .

All of the insights that we might ever need have already been captured by others in books. The important question is this: In the last ninety days, with this treasure of information that could change our lives, our fortunes, our relationships, our health, our children and our careers for the better, how many books have we read?

Why do we neglect to read the books that can change our lives? Why do we complain but remain the same? Those who wish for the better life cannot permit themselves to miss the books that could have a major impact on how their lives turn out.

And the issue is not that books are too expensive! If a person concludes that the price of buying the book is too great, wait until he must pay the price for not buying it.

There is very little difference between someone who cannot read and someone who will not read. The result of either is ignorance. Those who are serious seekers of personal development must remove the self-imposed limitations they have placed on their reading skills and their reading habits.

Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary. We must not permit anything to stand between us and the book that could change our lives. A little reading each day will result in a wealth of valuable information in a very short period of time.

Those who seek a better life must first become better persons. The habit of reading is a major stepping stone in the development of a sound philosophical foundation. And in my opinion it is one of the fundamentals required for the attainment of success and happiness. Read till you break through in life!

Things You Need to Know About Your Customers

Your customers are the blood of your business, so it is important that you have proper understanding of their nature. Below are ten things you need to know about your them.

  1. Your Customers Need You
  2. It is true that without your customers, you will not be in business. It is also true that without what you are offering, your customers will be miserable.

  3. Your Customers Want to Look Good
  4. Things are kind of scary out there. No matter the industry, from fashion to entertaiment, things aren’t the way they used to be — not for you and not for them. So what they want from you, over and above what they’re asking for, is that you make them look good; that’s your real job.

  5. Your Customers Are Lazy
  6. That means you have to do some of their work: help them find you, help them contact you and then, of course, help them work with you. The fewer obstacles they have to surpass, the more likely they are to follow through, and the more likely they will continue to buy your products.

  7. Your Customers Have Got a Lot Going On
  8. Don’t lose sight of their big picture. In the office, there are interruptions galore. They can’t get anything accomplished, their desk is a disaster area, their e-mail is stacking up. Things are out of control. You are just one of the many things they are trying to focus on. Now try to ask: why is it that they have not responded to your new product or service?

  9. Your Customers Act On Impulse
  10. We all do this: we see something interesting, we get excited, we call for information and when it comes, we put it in a pile. Don’t write them off entirely; just put them on your list and let them come back to you. Real needs and desires will stand the test of time.

  11. Your Customers Wants To Shake You of Your Feet
  12. Although you hate it, let them do it; in fact, help them. Give them a box to put you in, and a label to put on your box. (I’m speaking figuratively here.) There’s plenty of time to tell them more later about your full range of services.

  13. Your Customers May Not Know What They Need
  14. Listen to them and provide a solution to their self-defined needs. Offer a few alternatives for them to choose from. If necessary, explain, without trying to persuade, why what they say they want might not be the best thing for them. Then, let them decide.

  15. Your Customers Need Time
  16. It is not always a put off. Believe them when they say they have to think about it, or that they have to sell the idea to someone else. We all need time to think, time to get ready, to adjust, to clear our plate. Give them the time they ask for, and then keep in touch, reminding them that they were interested. And remember that some things will never come to fruition. That’s life.

  17. Your Customers Are Human
  18. Your relationships are not with companies; like it or not, they’re with human beings. And relationships are more important now than ever.

  19. Your Customers Are Just Like You
  20. Don’t forget: you are a customer to someone out there too. Which defenses do you use? How do you want to be treated when someone is marketing to you? How often do you want someone calling? How much freedom and time would you like to have to think about a product, to ask questions and to make your decision? How do you want to feel about the process when it is over?
Let these ideas guide you. You Will Succeed!

Testing The Viability Of Your Business Idea

You have a great business idea, and even got started on a business plan. But now you wonder: is my upstart business model really viable? How do you test an idea? How do you find out if people will buy it or patronize it?

Here is a five-point test to tell you if you should forge ahead with your business idea.

  1. Confirm The Demand
  2. Before you introduce a new product or service to the marketplace, you need to make sure that there is or there will be a solid demand for it. It is clear that the product will sell.

  3. Seek Out People In The Same Business
  4. A very important strategy in testing your idea is to seek out people who are already doing the same business and ask their opinions of the product or service. In the multitude of counselors there is safety. Share your idea with them and ask for their honest opinions. Don’t be afraid that someone will steal your idea. There are a thousand and one ideas out there for anyone to use.

  5. Check With Family & Friends
  6. Family and friends are very good targets for market research. Ask your family and friends if they would buy the product or patronize the service. How much would they be willing to pay for it? Listen to their questions, criticisms and concerns. If you can’t answer their questions and concerns in a logical and convincing way, it could be that there is something wrong with your idea.

  7. Create A Selling Promotion
  8. A selling promotion is like an advertisement for a publication, a series of sales letters or emails. In the promotion, you would announce the product or service, and also tell people the particular time it will be available. Then you would give prospective customers the opportunity to pre-purchase at a discounted price with 100 percent money back guarantee. The key here is not to make money but to see if your customers or your marketplace will respond to your product.

  9. Use The Seminar Approach
  10. Organizing a seminar for your potential customers could be a great opportunity to test your idea. It will help you to have first hand information on the needs and concerns of the people.

Building A Business Around Your Passion

I’ve seen several “ordinary people” who have taken a hobby that they love and transformed it into a viable business venture.

Four Simple Steps To Turn Something You Love Into A Viable Business

  1. Your Product
  2. Brainstorm all the different ways to create a business around what you love. You have a wealth of knowledge inside of you that you can monetize in several ways. What information do you possess that can be refreshed, repackaged, remodelled, reinvented and rebranded?

  3. Your Promotion Plan
  4. Create a portfolio by putting together samples of your work. If you offer a cleaning service, don’t be afraid to give away free services or products. Prospects like samples to see if they really want what you’re offering. Next, secure your business name, get business cards, and start thinking about your website. You will need an online presence to grow quickly.

  5. Your Platform
  6. Who do you see buying your product or service? Write down a full, detailed description of your ideal client. Consider what they read, where they go, who they spend time with, and what they value. Then go make friends with your ideal customer. Network with people daily and let them know what you’re doing. You can do this easily with online social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram.

  7. Proven Process
  8. Most dreams fall short between what to do and how to do them. That’s why getting help from a coach can provide you with the business wisdom and blueprint you need to succeed. These proven processes not only save you a lot of time, money and frustration, they also help build your confidence to keep going. Above all be prayerful.

Actualize Your Unique Goals For A Life Filled With Happiness And Success

How do successful people decide what unique goals they are going to accomplish? How do they know exactly what they want? I believe everything you need to know: about your passion and your true calling in life is within you right now. You only need to learn how to recognize this information and use it to accomplish your purpose on earth.

When people say things like: "The ocean is beautiful" or "There's nothing more breathtaking than a sunset" do you ever find yourself robotically agreeing with them without consciously thinking about their statements? Your opinions are your own-they belong to you. Never allow others to tell you who you are not or what you should be doing with your life.

If you have a burning desire to be what your parents, family and friends want you to be, that's one thing. But if your true passion has nothing to do with medical school or the family business then it is your responsibility to follow your heart.

It is your duty to accomplish your mission on earth. You're not responsible for the happiness of anyone but yourself. You were put here for a reason. Do the work you were born to do.

All you have to do is ask yourself these questions every day, several times a day, for the next week.

  1. What am I passionate about? (This question could be answered by looking at your hobbies, interests, charity work, etc.)

  2. If I had all the money I could spend in 10 lifetimes, what would I do for free? (Would you read to sick kids/ the elderly? Study medicine? Build furniture? Etc.)

  3. Who are my mentors, my role models, the people I admire the most ? What have these people accomplished that makes me respect them so much?

Tips For Uncommon Business Growth

Growth in business is never a game of chance or luck. In this article, I want to share with you some principles that will bring amazing growth in your business.

  • Listen To The Market
Just because we have a passion, an idea, a focus doesn’t mean the market is going to buy it. Sell them what they are buying!

Know the market demands, how clients respond to the products, bring creativity to your products and upgrade when necessary.

  • Apply Technology To Your Business
A Chinese Business Mogul once said “When You Simply Apply Technology to the Resources Around You, Money will Flow”. Technology plays a role in every business, so all small business owners can benefit from not only having an understanding of the technology that impacts them directly, but also keeping track of how it changes.

  • Ask Your Customers
The customer is normally one of the best people to ask where you could add value because they have probably researched the market before opting for your offering. Customer feedback tells you how to improve or adapt your current offer, what to change, what to stop, where to expand. This alone is 90% of the job and 90% of the growth opportunity.

  • Explore New Channels For Marketing
The most successful small businesses are willing to explore new outlets of online marketing -- in combination with their offline marketing activities -- to see what produces the most interest. Consistently changing, testing and mixing my marketing activities have helped to see what works, what doesn’t and what type of result it produces.
Work with these ideas and you will enjoy limitless success in business.

The Best Counselor In A Marriage

A few weeks ago, a couple that attended a wedding heard the pastor say in his sermon: “Marriage isn’t hard work.” The couple sort of got this uncomfortable feeling. “What crazy thing was the minister going to say next?”, they wondered. But then he explained. He said, “When Christ is the head of your marriage, it’s easy.”

Well, what did he mean? What he meant was this: If both spouses are willing to let what Christ says be the ultimate authority in their marriage, then it is going to be a marriage where both husband and wife feel loved and respected.

But the tough part about marriage is keeping Jesus Christ as the head of it. Everything else would be easy if only we could do that. Really all the troubles in marriage can easily be summed up in one word: selfishness. It’s because we are so selfish that our marriages aren’t easy as they should be.

We’re selfish when it comes to how the money is spent. We’re selfish when it comes to our time. Selfishness is also why there’s such a lack of respect for marriage today.

But on the other hand, if you are willing to let all that God says about love and respect and submission penetrate your marriage, then it can’t help but be a happy, healthy one.

Jesus is the best marriage counselor. His counsel comes from God Himself, the original designer of marriage.

He reveals these details about marriage in His Word, the Holy Bible, and having been redeemed, we are now set free to become the best spouses we can possibly be.

I pray that the Lord will bring peace into their homes and as many that are due for marriage the Lord will cause a divine connection between you and your spouse in Jesus name. Amen!!

Effective Networking for Business Success

Business networking. Here are tips to effective business success:

Be Genuine And Authentic
Keep in mind that networking is about being genuine and authentic, building trust and relationships, and seeing how you can help others.

Determine Your Goal
Ask yourself what your goals are in participating in networking meetings so that you will pick groups that will help you get what you are looking for. Some meetings are based more on learning, making contacts, and/or volunteering rather than on strictly making business connections.

Develop Options For Communication
Your friends, colleagues, customers and co-workers will choose to communicate with you in different ways. Some will choose face to face, some will email, others will call, while others will do a little of everything.

The bottom line is: make all of them available. On your business cards, email address, websites or marketing materials, let people know that can get in touch with you in whatever manner they choose. Sure, you might prefer email. A good idea is to give people as many options to contact you as possible.

Understand What You Do
Have a clear understanding of what you do and what makes yours different from others doing the same thing. In order to get referrals, you must first have a clear understanding of what you do that you can easily articulate to others.

Take Prompt Action
Follow through quickly and efficiently on referrals you are given. When people give you referrals, your actions are a reflection on them. Respect and honor that and your referrals will grow. Call those you meet who may benefit from what you do and vice versa. Express that you enjoyed meeting them, and ask if you could get together and share ideas.

Work with these ideas and your success is guranteed.

Why the Power of Branding Is a Myth

Branding is important. A strong brand can make product easier to sell.

"Branding" involves marketing activities like brand-focused advertising, packaging, marketing materials, logos, taglines, and so forth.

Your brand is the emotion that a customer feels when thinking about your product. While it is true that branding can associate an emotion with a product, especially when pointed at highly impressionable buyers (e.g. young men who watch beer ads would want to go have that product of that particular beer).

If customers love your product, then the brand will reflect that love. The keystone is always the customer's experience.

I know what you're thinking. What about Coke? What about Sony? They spend money on branding, so branding must be worth it, right? Well, not necessarily. In every case where there's an instantly-recognizable brand, there's a history (in Coke's case more than a hundred years of history) of the company providing a consistently excellent product.

Apple, for instance, is a great brand not because or their logo or their commercials but because people feel good when they use Apple products.

So therefore an excellent product mixed with proper branding will bring great result to your business, that which will speak for itself as time rolls by. First of all capitalise on proper products and lastly branding, great result awaits you.

Know what you really want

The major challenge most of us seem to face is knowing what we really want. If you do not know what you really want, you will literally sleep walk through life simply going with the flow, wherever that might lead. We do not really stop to ponder or think through what we really want. Consequently, we take random actions and hope for the best.

We are so used to knowing what we don’t want. We talk about it all the time. When you invest so much emotional energy in declaring what you don’t want, you end up not giving much attention to what you really want.

It is commonly acknowledged that common sense is not common. Logically, something may make common sense but most people do not operate on that awareness because common sense are in levels, and until you attain that level of maturity, that common sense will not be available to you.

It is common sense that if you keep giving all your money away without saving and investing to yield more income, you will end up with your wallet or bank account being empty. It is common sense that if you take in more calories that you burn, you put on weight. Again few people operate in that simple wisdom.

The challenge is that most of us have not developed the discipline of continuous learning and using our mind to think. Sometimes you catch yourself doing something dumb and ask yourself “what was I thinking?” Actually, you were not thinking.

According to Henry Ford, “Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it.”

Thinking is hard work. It requires a certain level of discipline to force our minds to think consistently before acting. This discipline comes with a certain level of maturity. Left to its own devices, the mind naturally wanders about, flitting from one thing to another like a butterfly.

Most of the actions we take are not a result of deliberate thought but out of our habits. Until you learn to really use your mind to think, you will be held hostage to old habits and keep getting the same old results.

One area you really need to think through is who you are and what you really want. Until you answer these questions, you will keep mirroring others not knowing what you really want and going round in circles.

Its time for you to know what you want in life today and stand on it.
